Alejandro began his
studies at the “Instituto Superior de Danza” in Caracas,
Venezuela. While living in Venezuela, Alejandro joined the
“Ballet Nacional de Caracas” where he dance an array of
choreographies by Vincente Nebrada. He then went on to dance
with “Ballet Nuevo Mundo de Caracas” under the direction of
Zhandra Rodriguez. There he performed choreographies by Choo San
Goh and Donald McKayle, among others. With these two companies
Alejandro toured throughout South America, the Caribbean, the
United States and Europe. Since his arrival to the United States
he has danced with several companies like, Minnesota Dance
Theatre, Island Moving Company of Rhode Island and Ballet
Theatre of Boston. He has also performed in various festivals
such as International Ballet Festival of Miami and The Dance
Festival of Joinville, Brazil. As a choreographer, Alejandro has
created pieces for Island Moving Company and various dance
schools. The Dance Zone is very happy to have Alejandro working
