Dr. Dean Scott comes to us from the world of Broadway and the professional stage. From starring in the international tour of A Chorus Line, to choreographing for regional theatres and dance conventions around the country, he brings a wealth of experience, and deep love for the artform that is dance and theatre. Some of Dr. Scott's favorite roles include: Mr. Mistoffelees in the L.A. company of Cats; Mike (International Tour), and Alan DeLuca (American Musical Theatre of San Jose) in A Chorus Line; Will Parker in Oklahoma!; and George Cohan in George M! Other credits include: principal dancer for the Chicago Ballet; Master teacher for Dance Masters, NADAA(National Association of Dance and the Affiliated Arts), Take 5, and Tsukara USA Gymnastics Camp; dance professor for San Jose State University; owner and artistic director of Scott Academy of Fine Arts in the Chicagoland area; owner and co-director of Backstage Studio for the Performing Arts in San Jose, CA; artistic director of the Dean Scott Dancers, a professional touring jazz/tap company; co-director of The Work, dance workshops for theatre in San Jose, CA.
