“Jenn’s” interest in dance
began at a very young age. She began training in ballet
and tap at the age of 5. When she started taking classes
at the Dance Arts Center in San Mateo Jenn discovered
her love for jazz and performing. She competed in dance
competitions throughout high school with performing
groups from all over the bay area. After high school
Jenn continued her training in dance at San Jose State
University, and graduated in 2002 with a BA in Child
Development. For the last five years she worked while
going to school, teaching dance to students from 18
months to advanced adults. She also assisted with the
administrative responsibilities of the studio. Jenn
brought her creative talents to the students and
choreographed competitive routines for competitions. She
has always dreamed of opening her own dance studio so
she would be able to teach her one true love-dance! She
is very excited to be working with the Bettencourt’s to
help create the Dance Zone. |
